DMRH special vehicles came to life as a result of years of journalism
in the freelance industry watching & writing about others in this automotive field. What
became apparent was a lack of (read nobody) Mazda specialists catering for the importation
& sales of the unique rotary powered vehicles that didn't get the export nod from Japan.
So we bit the bullet so to speak, obtained the required licenses & began trading
in late 1999.
Under the Federal Government import regulations. The laws on importing vehicles
changed in mid-2003. The Gov left a minor window of oppurtunity open but the cost
proved prohibitive forcing DMRH to make the decision to close shop.
Overall, approximately 80%-90% of the industry closed for the same reasons
putting an estimated 9,000 people at a loss through out the country. As of 2004,
DMRH no longer trade in the same form importing, compliancing & sales.
AFTER SALES SERVICE STILL PROVIDED, DMRH still assist with
after sales service for all our ex-customers working from another Sydney based
rotary workshop. Many Cosmo & RX-7 owners still drop by to have unique issues
catered to by us as others in the industry lack the experience on certain models
such as the JC Cosmo.
If you have a Cosmo, FD RX-7 or FE RX-8 then we are able to assist with fixing
those technical problems the other shops have no idea about. We get cars shipped to
us from around Australia after owners have lost far to much money paying for others
to fail. More & more dealers are finding out about us too as we gain a reputation for
reliable, well priced work. Well priced as we fix most technical problems in about
1/3 the time any one will spend on the car prior to them giving up.
Just give us a call to ask what we can do for you.......... 0408 426 944
