The Mazda RX-7 (SA series) was the car that finaly put the rotary engine on the world stage as a fully accepted form of transport. The value for money that this 1st generation gave the sporting car world is still "yet to be surpassed". Many have tried & failed since but none have had the flair of the rotary engine to their name.
